Hi!
My name is Lauren and I’m the COMO Mom.
Well, I’m not THE COMO Mom, meaning the only mother in Columbia, MO (COMO)… but you get it!
I’m new to the blogging world, but I thought it would be a great creative outlet for me as a work-from-home mom of two under 3yo. Not that I need to add anything else to my plate… but why not?! Maybe, *hopefully* some of the things I share with you will be useful, helpful, or at least entertaining!
A little background info on me: I’m (soon to be) 32yo, a wife, mom, League Director for Upward Sports at my church, business owner, and so much more! I have my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, buttttt… I don’t use either of those in my career LOL! I am actually a Mary Kay Sales Director! I know, so out of left field, especially if you’ve ever met me before. I hardly wear makeup, and most of the time I’m in a tshirt and gym shorts covered in baby food and craft paint- I’m definitely not the “typical” Mary Kay lady! I actually fell in love with the products and business model and decided to give it a shot! After 4 months, I became a Sales Director, and a month later, earned my first car with Mary Kay and decided to pursue it as my full-time career: crazy, right?!

SO, 9 years later, I’m still a Sales Director, still love the business and everything about the company, BUT my life looks a lot different. During the C-word… I transitioned to a fully virtual business and had my first baby, my daughter Payton Jane! Man, I love that little girl, but that was a WHIRLWIND of a life change for us! Fast forward, this past fall we had our second baby, my son Cameron! *Enter even more chaos into our household! So 2015 Lauren is a completely different person than 2024 Lauren, but what I love is that my business has worked for me and my family through all of these stages in my life!
Now, back to “why the blog?” Well, I thought it would be fun! I constantly have people asking me about my nails, the links for the dresses I wear at conferences, etc. and I love sharing it all! Especially since it’s all budget-friendly! If anything, I hope that this blog can be of service for you, and if it is, well I did my job right!
